Sure iTibby Cotter cost a lot but now it's there, let's use it properly. This bridge would be used a lot of they ran a path through the middle of the stadiums from Moore Park road and if they made it easy to get to from Centennial Park.'TIBBY' COTTER BRIDGE REMOVAL - FACT OR FICTION?

Speculation is mounting over the government's plans for Moore Park and Sydney Football Stadium after reports that the controversial Albert 'Tibby' Cotter Bridge at Moore Park will be removed.

The shared pedestrian/cycle bridge is the subject of a damning Auditor-General report. Built at the cost of $38M and barely 4 years old, the bridge is rarely used despite the Stage 1 application for the Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment suggesting it is a key pedestrian link from Central Station to the Sydney Football Stadium. Local reports now suggest the bridge will be removed early next month, following the removal of the Parkham Street pedestrian bridge over the Eastern Distributor later this week.

The reports have not been able to be substantiated as yet, however, the 'indicative photomontage' in the 'Request for a SEARS' for the Sydney Football Stadium Redevelopment Stage 2 suggests the absence of the bridge. The application has just been lodged with the Department of Planning and can be viewed here: bit.ly/2VWNcg7

Win yourself a customised bike trailIf you live in Sydney and would me to design a good bike trail or a commute - lets doing some sharing. I am Garry Robinson, I am a rubbish cyclist who decided to map all the relatively safe trails in Sydney and nearby places. I generally do not like riding on roads and would rather head to a train and ride somewhere there is a good trail. So far I have uncovered and cycled about 1000 km of shared paths and obscure footpaths where cycling is ok. I have also mapped 300km of back roads just so I can get to the shared paths. I use trains all the time, it allows you to go twice as far. I also know good car parks for many of the trails. This knowledge I impart to you so you can get out and see something new You follow my BikeTrail.Info Facebook page and share it on your timeline Send me a Message to tell me what you want to do Share 10 of my Facebook posts to everyone on your timeline. This should happen twice a day, not in quick succession If you have a different idea as to how you can barter your stuff for my knowledge, send me a message. This all helps with my knowledge, so speak. The Send Message button is near the top of the page. ...
